Email Scam Alert
There is a scam email going around that appears to be from the IRS. Two of our clients have received emails appear to be from the IRS and were smart enough to call us before replying. One of the emails says that the IRS is having issues with the banking information that the client provided to the IRS, so please re-submit their banking information. The other says that the IRS cannot process their return and is asking for social security card and another form of ID.

The IRS will NEVER contact taxpayers by email - only by regular mail.  If you receive one of these emails, PLEASE dump it in your trash and do not respond.  It is a scam designed to rob taxpayers of their refunds! Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.  Thank you. - Cathy Johnson
